
Basic Support Services
Service | Description |
24-Hour Emergency Assistance | On-call service for immediate support during a crisis or urgent need (not on-site but available by phone or in person if needed). |
Adult Companion Services | Non-medical care, supervision, and socialization for adults. Aimed at helping with daily activities and reducing isolation. |
Homemaker Services | Help with general household activities like cleaning, laundry, and meal prep. May also include teaching these skills. |
Individual Community Living Support (ICLS) | Support with community living, like problem-solving, transportation, health and wellness, and building routines. |
Individualized Home Supports (Without Training or Family Training) | Direct support with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) in the person’s home or community. |
Night Supervision | Overnight support for individuals needing assistance or monitoring while they sleep. Not medical care, but ensures safety. |
Respite Care (In-home or Out-of-home) | Temporary relief for primary caregivers. Can be provided in the individual’s home or a different setting. |
In-Home Support Services
Service | Description |
Individualized Home Supports | Assistance with daily living skills, community involvement, and adaptive skills. May include help with ADLs/IADLs but does not include training or family involvement. |
Individualized Home Supports with Training | Support includes teaching the person how to do tasks independently. Focus is on skill-building (e.g., cooking, money management, hygiene). |
Individualized Home Supports with Family Training | Support includes training family members to help the person reach their goals. Can also involve behavior supports or health-related routines. |
